How do I create a QR code?
After creating an account and adding your contact details, simply tap the "Generate QR Code" button. Select which information you want to include, choose a duration, and your QR code will be created instantly.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free users can create one QR code with limited fields and one web link, with a 30-day duration limit. Pro users get unlimited QR codes, unlimited web links of any type, flexible durations, custom branding, profile pictures, banner images, PDF uploads, theme customization, and ad-free viewing for themselves and their visitors.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Open the app, go to the "Upgrade" section, and follow the prompts to subscribe through your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
Is my data secure?
Yes! All your contact details are encrypted using AES-256 encryption, an industry-standard security method. Your data is encrypted before being stored, and only you can decrypt it.
Can I delete my QR codes?
Yes, you can delete any QR code at any time. When you delete a QR code, it becomes unavailable to visitors, and all associated public data and uploaded files are also deleted.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
What happens if my QR code expires?
When a QR code expires, visitors will see an expiration message when they try to scan it. You can create a new QR code with the same or updated information at any time.
Can I track who scans my QR code?
You can see how many times your QR code has been scanned and which links have been clicked, but we don't collect personal information about individual visitors for privacy reasons.
What link types are restricted for free users?
Free users are limited to one web link and certain link types are restricted. Pro users can add unlimited links of any type. Free users will see an upgrade prompt if they attempt to add restricted links.
How do I change my theme?
Pro users can change their theme by going to Settings > Change Theme. Free users are limited to the black and gold theme.
Account and Data Deletion
Requesting Account Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. To request account deletion, please email us at support@lynxqr.co.uk with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the following information:
- Your registered email address
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Any additional information to help us verify your identity
What Gets Deleted?
When you request account deletion, we will permanently delete:
- Your user account and profile information
- All encrypted contact details
- All QR codes you've created
- All public QR code data and visitor pages
- All uploaded files (profile pictures, banner images, documents)
- All analytics and tracking data associated with your account
- Your subscription information (if applicable)
Note: Once your account is deleted, this action cannot be undone. All your QR codes will immediately become unavailable to visitors.
Processing Time
We will process your account deletion request within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and all associated data have been permanently deleted from our systems.
Partial Data Deletion
If you only want to delete specific data (such as a particular QR code or contact information) without deleting your entire account, you can do this directly in the app. Simply delete the specific QR code or update your contact details as needed.
Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services. Once you request account deletion, we will remove all your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
